Community Support . . .

the power of personal philanthropy to enhance the health of all women

Women’s Health at Stanford, leading the Stanford University Medical Center effort to enhance the health and well being of all women, is fundamentally dependant on the vision and generosity of our community . . . to provide essential funds to further innovative research, education and clinical care advances.

We have been fortunate to enjoy broad community support since our inception in 2001, resulting in funding that permitted, directly or indirectly: the launch of Women’s Health Magazine; the formation of faculty lecture series for both medical and public audiences; enriching the continuing medical education offerings to current Stanford faculty, particularly in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology; the creation of the Women’s Heart Health at Stanford program; the application and study of non-invasive therapies for breast cancer patients; permitting the expansion of women’s health mentoring programs, training scholars at the junior faculty, fellow, resident and Stanford undergraduate levels; and facilitating more interdisciplinary collaboration and research.

While our community support has indeed represented a large number of individuals, there have benn certain individuals who have been particularly critical to facilitating our contributions and medical successes. Accordingly, we wish to highlight and THANK the following individuals for their extraordinary support of Women’s Health at Stanford:

Our deepest appreciation for all who have and continue to support the medical research, education and clinical care application contributions that our multidisciplinary program has been able to facilitate. All women, everywhere, are impacted by what your generosity produces.

Sincerely,

Lynn Westphal, MD
