Who We Are

   Lynn Westphal, MD

Lynn Westphal, MD
Director of Women's Health at Stanford University

Dr. Westphal is Associate Professor in the Stanford University School of Medicine and Director of the Stanford Fertility and Reproductive Medicine Center.

She is a graduate of the Stanford University School of Medicine and completed postgraduate medical training at UCLA, Stanford and UCSF.

Dr. Westphal is Director of the Stanford University Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Fellowship Program,
as well as Director of the Ovum Donation and Gestational Carrier Programs. In early 1999, Dr. Westphal started one of the first oocyte cryopreservation program, and she has been a leader in facilitating fertility preservation for cancer survivors.

Her reputation as a renowned clinician and educator, combined with her integrated, multi-discipline perspective, make Dr. Westphal a sought after collaborator and speaker.

Jim Batterson
Executive Director, Women’s Health at Stanford

Mr. Batterson is the Executive Director – Women’s Health at Stanford. Jim provides strategic, management and marketing direction to Women’s Health at Stanford, promoting an active interdisciplinary medical program that supports the program’s interest in professional and public education; basic and clinical research; patient care; and community service. He has previously been involved with health management programs at the Stanford Prevention Research Center’s Health Improvement Program, as well as contributing business strategy to Stanford Hospital & Clinics’ Integrative Medicine Clinic. Mr. Batterson has lectured and advised on a number of health and wellness programs and projects, including those dealing with women’s health; organizational wellness; behavior-change lifestyle programs, such as weight management; stress reduction; and integrative medicine. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan.
